Indications & Uses

Primarily used for relieving symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (like sneezing, runny or itchy nose, watery eyes) and for treating uncomplicated chronic idiopathic urticaria and allergen-induced asthma

It helps ease allergy-related skin reactions such as hives (urticaria), offering relief from itching and rash
Pharmacology & Benefits

Acts as a potent H₁ receptor antagonist. Not associated with significant anticholinergic or antiserotonergic effects.

At therapeutic doses, Atrizin is less sedating, minimizing behavioral changes, unlike many first-generation antihistamines

It suppresses both early and late phases of allergic reactions by blocking histamine and reducing inflammatory mediator release
Dosage & Administration

Adults & children ≥ 6 years: 2 teaspoonfuls daily or 1 teaspoonful twice daily.

Children 2–6 years: 1 teaspoonful once daily or ½ teaspoonful twice daily.

Children 6 months–2 years: ½ teaspoonful once daily; for those aged 12–23 months, the dose may be increased to ½ teaspoonful every 12 hours

Common: Somnolence (drowsiness), though less likely and usually mild
