What It Is
Asynta Max is a dual-action oral suspension formulated to relieve symptoms of gastric reflux, heartburn, indigestion, flatulence, and epigastric or retrosternal discomfort, including those experienced during pregnancy. It combines:

Sodium Alginate – forms a protective gel layer (“raft”) over stomach contents to prevent acid reflux

Sodium Bicarbonate and Calcium Carbonate – fast-acting antacids that neutralize excess stomach acid
Mechanism of Action (“Double Action”)

Forms a protective gel raft that floats on stomach contents, reducing reflux and providing up to 4 hours of protection.

Cautions & Interactions

Sodium Content: High (each 20 mL dose contains ~254.5 mg sodium); use cautiously in heart failure or kidney issues.

Calcium Content: Each 20 mL contains ~260 mg calcium; caution in hypercalcaemia or kidney stone cases.

Phenylketonuria: Not recommended due to aspartame content.

Drug Interactions: Maintain a 2-hour gap when taking with certain medications (e.g., tetracyclines, iron salts, thyroid hormones, ketoconazole, etc.).
