Description

Active Ingredients & Classification

Acefyl combines two key compounds:

  • Acefylline Piperazine – 45 mg per 5 ml, a bronchodilator that eases bronchospasm and improves airway function.

  • Diphenhydramine HCl – 8 mg per 5 ml, a first-generation antihistamine offering allergy relief and cough suppression.

These ingredients classify Acefyl as a bronchodilator plus antihistamine cough syrup, effective in both allergy symptom relief and cough control.

Therapeutic Uses & Mechanism

  • Bronchodilation: Acefylline relaxes bronchial muscles to ease breathing in conditions like asthma or chronic bronchitis.

  • Antihistaminic Action: Diphenhydramine blocks histamine, reducing sneezing, mucus, and allergic throat irritation. It also has sedative effects
